Fantasy Keeper Help: Forwards

Postby Defence21 on Thu Apr 26, 2012 4:24 pm

So the league I'm in allows for 6 keeper forwards (including a required 1 at each position). I have 7 players I deem worthy of keeping. I need a little help. Who would you keep out of...

Ovechkin
Getzlaf
Iginla
Heatley
Stastny
Radulov
Horton

Another option I have would be to move goalie Markstrom from veteran keeper status to a sub-rookie category. That would free up a spot for another forward, allowing me to keep all 7 of the above. That being said, I would then have to ditch one of Johanson, Granlund, Kuznetsov, Tatar, or Elliott to make room for Markstrom as a rookie.

Suggestions?

Drop Horton, he may not even play again.

Horton really stands out on that list to me. He'd be my choice.

Is Radulov going to stick in the NHL, though?

Horton or Heatley would be my choices. Dany Heatley will never score 50 goals again. Dude will be lucky for 40 ever again.

Haha. Not many people will score 50 or even 40...they're still getting taken in the top 6 rounds of a draft...which would mean they'd easily be top 6 keepers...or top 6 "forward" keepers.

Semantics. Heatleys garbage lol. My point was merely that Heatley is now 'just another' player that will be in that 50 point area that is pretty easily replaceable in alot of leagues.

Horton.

Radulov will probably stick in the NHL.

Obviously, the answer is Ovechkin.

Spoiler:
Not really. I'd cut Horton. There's a very slim chance he'll ever be an impact player again, and that's IF he ever plays another game in the NHL.
