Apparently Chris Therien (Flyers radio color guy) was being Tweeted by a whole group of people for his blatant hypocrisy after the Giroux headshot last night. During the Pens series, he was on a nonstop tirade against Crosby for his antics on the ice, and was extremely critical of Neal for headhunting on Giroux. Yet, he was completely silent after Giroux's cheapshot last night, and even suggested it was clean. His response?

After being anointed best player in the NHL after last series and applauded for his cool and calm leadership after Crosby went berzerk in that series, Giroux turned into the frustrated madman last night and went after Zubrus. Looks like he's just another player today.

Yeah, a joke about an old hockey player that not one living person has seen play is distasteful, but to make light of the Jerry Sandusky stuff when dozens of people that are still quite young were molested? It's not even close.

making a bad joke involving the circumstances in which someone died like 100 years ago is just dumb.

Making light of a situation where God knows how many children were molested... A wound that isn't close to being closed for Penn state, the country, sports in general, and most importantly the victims of the abuse... That is extremely mean spirited. Plus it was typed and submitted, so he can't really use the same "words that came out of my mouth" defense. This is absolutely disgusting on every conceivable level.
