My favorite part

This eulogy would've been longer, but we wanted to leave the Puck Daddy crew enough time to preview the Western Conference Finals.

“We knew they were a good team coming into it,” Scott Hartnell said. “We knew they were fast and hungry and have probably the best goalie that’s ever played the game. We knew we weren’t gonna get up 3-0 in the series right away like we did against Pittsburgh. A lot of woulda, coulda, shouldas in a series like this. It’s heartbreaking.”

Aside from rough goaltending, a big area in which the Penguins struggled against the Flyers was in making adjustments to their systems in order to give the Flyers pause. Instead of making large-scale changes to aspects of the Pens’ game that weren’t working, coach Dan Bylsma elected to keep powering through the series with what had worked during the regular season.

Chatting with Ilya Bryzgalov about Year 1 with Philadelphia Flyers: ‘People only see the bad in me’

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck- ... 03643.html

"What I lived through this season I wouldn't wish to an enemy… [But if you started on something, finish it]. I need to keep working. I understand the fans. They paid their money and want the show. But many forget that we are not robots, but living people. We have feelings, worries. It's easy to turn away when the club is going through tough times. But if you're wearing orange sweaters, then support Philadelphia until the very end! Don't denounce your team. There won't be a different one. And I know that the Flyers have dedicated fans who understand hockey and will always support."

I saw this. He tried very hard to not show that he hates it in Philly.

Good thing he signed that lengthy contract that another team is unlikely to pick up anytime soon.

I do think 1-2 more years and he gets traded.

almost every contract is trade-able. bryzgalov's is a rare exception, imo.

I figured Loungo's would be the exception to getting traded. That's not going to stop a team with a GM who needs a terrible goalie in the worst way however.

Sorry, terrible play off goalie.
