Wow. If you're calling 911 in a moment of panic and are freaking out because someone you love may be dying, it is perfectly understandable you may say some f words. I hope they sue and kick his ass.

Fumie Takahashi is reunited with her pet budgerigar (bird) in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture. The bird escaped from her house in the city early on April 29 and was returned to her on May 2 after telling the police its owner's address, specifying the block and house number.

He's 7 feet, 8 and one-third inches tall. Technicians estimate his shoe size at somewhere between a 22 and 25 — sizes impossible to find at the mall.

Reebok says it's building the shoes at a cost of $12,000 to $20,000.

Yes, I read about that before and I think I'm pretty excited. They'll be able to grow a steak or something. Only bad thing is what will happen to the animals? There are, well, I don't know the numbers, but I would guess in the millions of farm animals? They're just going to get rid of the current supply and stop breeding? Then what, only place to see a cow or a chicken will be at the zoo? Well, I suppose that's better than mass-murder.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - When a black bear climbed a tree in a central Arkansas city and refused to come down, authorities turned to unconventional rescue tools: bouncy houses.

Foster the Bear - named for the residential street where he holed up in a tree - wouldn't budge from his branch Monday. So, authorities turned to a local hardware store owner who rents inflatable houses and castles for children's birthday parties.

They asked him to set up two of the bouncy contraptions beneath the tree. Then, wildlife officials shot the bear with tranquilizer darts.

RIP Bear, Shaf feel free to make the RIP thread...

The bear famously tranquilized on the University of Colorado campus last week, and immortalized in a viral photo by Colorado University student Andy Duann, met a tragic death early Thursday in the Denver-bound lanes of U.S. 36.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials said a 280-pound black bear that died on U.S. 36 after being hit by a car at about 5:40 a.m. Thursday was the same bear that became known worldwide last week after wandering onto the CU campus near the Williams Village dorm complex.

Just what we need, more corporate control over the food supply. :face:

Oh, I'm sure you'll be able to keep your cow and your chicken. The reason given for this undertaking is future food shortages, so this way everybody will be able to get their meat. What may happen is that real animal meat products will be at a premium at top restaurants or something, but this story has zero to do with any kind of government takeover.

I hope this thread will skip on the political mambo jumbo.

And... :face: right back at you.
