One of the big complaints at Mellon was crowded concourses. Going to CEC a few years back the fans
were led to believe the problem would be corrected. Now the upper bowl is extremely congested with vendor after vendor, and long bathroom lines. In the lower bowl the beer guys line up behind section 120-119 and clog that area. Now more and more companies are looking to get in to CEC. Are they even looking to correct this at CEC?

I heard they were going to demolish the CEC for wider concourses.
Guess what, get used to it. You want wider concourses and more bathrooms? Pay more to sit at the lower bowl. Hell, what's at the single attack end of the upper bowl? Next to nothing.. There's a reason brewhouse and fancy dining is at the double attack end: those people pay a premium for the seats.

I feel like people finally got used to it and things balanced out. Its still bad, but its now possible to hit the bathroom and the beer line in the same intermission.

There is a window and an elevator in the one side attack zone.

The problem with CEC is the team that plays there has lost to a lower seed in the playoffs three straight years.

They need to build a casino in the Hill District to fund a different new arena. This one is clearly garbage and the team that plays in it keeps losing to the Flyers.

STHs received yet another survey the other day. We were asked, among other things, to rank the congestion of the lower and upper concourses.
I sit in the upper bowl, and I don't think the congestion is as bad as some folks make it out to be.
It gets tight in spots. But I think some congestion could be alleviated by moving some of the little kiosks.

Moving around in the upper bowl is a pain in the butt. The fact that there three only large bathrooms (and a handful of 'Family bathrooms') in the upper bowl is poor planning. The concession lines move faster. I stay in my seats more often in the CEC between periods than I did in the Mellon. I expected movement around the CEC to be much better than it is.
My two cents.

There is an entire other thread on this before.
They built a $300 million arena and people expected a $500 million arena. Its certainly has too many basic issues (like the congestion at points in the upper deck, putting all the concession stands behind the net in the lower concourse - in Mellon even with igloo seats they were able to wrap some around the corners, the igloo clubs are far far far worse which was surprising). The view from seat is fantastic I just end up spending a lot of my money somewhere else before and after the games, still make a night of it just not quite the same night as before.
- and everyone knows my emotional state towards some of these things so I am not going to say any more on this topic!

Let the S
ouper Bowl out of this. There is nothing wrong with their bathrooms....except that their bathrooms might need bigger signs.
