...according to one gambling site anyway.
Since the season is over, I guess its not too early for next years odds:
http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2012 ... p/related/Pens are the early favorite according to Bovada.com.
Pittsburgh: 7/1
Los Angeles: 11/1
Chicago, NY Rangers, Detroit, St. Louis, Vancouver: 12/1
Boston, Philadelphia: 14/1
Nashville: 18/1
San Jose: 22/1
Anaheim, Buffalo, Tampa Bay, Washington: 25/1
New Jersey: 30/1
Florida, Toronto: 35/1
Colorado, Dallas, Ottawa, Phoenix, Winnipeg: 40/1
Calgary, Carolina: 50/1
Edmonton, Montreal: 60/1
Columbus, Minnesota, NY Islanders: 75/1
I think I would take a shot on Rangers or Detroit since they have room to make moves and are being listed as possible destinations for some of the big names.

I think a ticked off Crosby, Malkin, Staal and Fleury SHOULD be odds on favorites.

Well, Vegas suckered more than a few people with the Pens as a "low risk" bet in the playoffs this year, so why not try it again?

So, if the pens played out next season with the same team, say 10 times, do you expect them to win the cup at least once? I do. Vegas agrees.

Bylsma fired by christmas and a defenseman pickup at the deadline and lets go.
Honestly feel bad for Boston/Philly I think they should have better odds.

7/1 would be too good of odds for an all-star team to win the cup.

Pens will win the cup next year! We just need to remember it's not just about O. We actually need our Defense-men to play D.
Who knows what Shero could pull off in the offseason. He's known for making big splashes and I think it's safe to say our D is going to look significantly different next year.

It'd be nice if both of our $8,700,000 forwards would backcheck and play D as well.

Sucker bet at 7/1. As stated above team has issues on D, not just Martin. Orpik is starting to get a little long in the tooth, and it showed against the Flyers. Flurey has been slightly better than average the last few years. The Pens still need help at wing, and nobody in the current organization not named James Neal is a real threat. Crosby obviously has issues, as does Staal. Would be nice to see Staal play a full season. The power play needs reworked, and the pk took a step back. Oh and let's not forget the first round loss. Save us Geno!

I'm not sure what you mean. What exactly is wrong with Vokoun's head placement?

betting odds don't predict who will win they are set so money is bet both ways or in this case if pens were alot higher odds people would jump on it just to take a shot

Yea.. the only teamI really think is ranked inappropriately (at a quick glance) is Philly.
Every team has holes, but if they can ever get their goalie situation settled they're damn good

Philly @ 14/1 is the most attractive bet there.
