Earlier this morning, the man known as Victim No. 6 testified that he continued his relationship with Mr. Sandusky until the summer of 2010, even after his mother complained to police in 1998 that the man had inappropriately showered with her son when he was just 11 years old.

It wasn't until police came to interview him in January 2011 that his perception toward the well-known former Penn State coach changed.

"As I started to go over it in my mind, I quickly realized. My perceptions changed. Thinking of it as an adult vs. as an 11-year-old.

"What happened was inappropriate."

I don't get the continued contact, up to at least age 22-23.

On cross-examination, defense attorney Joe Amendola asked, "Did your change in perception about what happened in the shower have anything to do with hiring an attorney and thinking there might be some financial gain for you?"

"Zero," the now 25-year-old man answered.

The only defense I've heard to this point attempted is that all these people are looking for money. Have they even contested any of the allegations?

It will be interesting to see during the civil suit. There are no doubt victims that experienced some terrible things. How do you separate them from this guy who continued to have contact with sandusky up until the police informed him of the investigation.

I don't think it's that uncommon in cases like this.

I believe I read an article that said that once Sandusky was confronted by the police and his mother at their house, the showering and other inappropriate behavior stopped with this victim (if I have the correct one). I'm assuming the relationship stayed a friendship and Sandusky turned his affections towards new, more malleable victims.

Do you have any idea how many scholarships (among libraries and other things) the Paternos funded over the last six decades? I'll give him a pass here...wouldn't be surprised to see Sue give to the school upon her passing.

I thought Sue donated some money from Joe's pension to the school.

I didn't see Mac's opinion. I didn't really expect that necessarily. His wife is what, 11 years younger than he was? She could live for a while. Her will should tell the real tale. Either way, they've given enough money to that school that they shouldn't be expected to give even more in death

Yeah, god forbid he leave his possessions to his wife so she can live comfortably for the rest of her life

Sue gave 1.5 million of Joe's pension to Penn State charities.

Seriously? So he had a job at a state university and earned a pension. She gave a million and a half back. And you're going to belittle her because it was from her husband's state pension? Regardless, she gave back $1.5 million that they could have easily kept.

You are just sounding petty at this point

So the McQ family and everyone in the PSU administration is at fault...except JoePa.

That makes sense.

Sue should give everything back, and then become a ward of the state and draw a welfare check, right?

What in the hell are you talking about? When did anyone say JoePa wasn't at fault?

You are turning this into an entirely different discussion. If you hate Joe Paterno's guts (and his family by extension) that's fine. But the above is a total strawman

So because a poster on an internet message board incorrectly thought he would immediately leave all his possessions to Penn State, that makes it alright to subtly take shots at the Paterno family because Joe instead gave everything to his wife of 50 years?

EDIT: take out the word "subtly".

I'm done though, I don't want to get the thread locked.
