First time in franchise history there isn't a Saturday night game at home.

Are the 8 Friday night home games also a first?

really disappointed with this schedule.
there are 19 saturday games this season and only 4 at home. if you can only attend weekend games this schedule is pretty bad.
luckily, it doesn't effect me but i have a few friends that it does

With a lock-out bound to happen, I wouldn't worry too much about this schedule. Could be replaced all together!

Brutal October. 6 game road trip in March, then 12 of the last 17 at home.

Friday November 2. Columbus Invasion II.
9 of the first 13 on the road
a 5 game homestand in feb and 7 gamer in march
psst is an invasion even possible on a Friday?
Gotta say this sched sux and kinda makes me root for a lockout so we get a new one.

Exactly, with this news today I want a lockout.
What pisses me off is Washington.
Once again we visit them early season and weekdays.
You'd think NBC would want us there on weekends for national TV. Twice on weekdays in October and December? Really?
You know I wonder if this is Ted's evil scheme request to the NHL to have us in early and weekdays so he has less Pens fans.

2nd Florida-Tampa trip falls on Masters week...that ain't happening. Tampa on a Thursday? Unlikely. South Beach on a Tuesday? We can pull that off.

St.L on 3/3 looks like a good one for me. 10/20 in Tenn doesn't look bad either.

The @ Dallas game Dec. 1 is afternoon. Good for me, but a one-afternoon game road trip to Dallas isn't good for the Pens.
Good prospects for me for a trip to Pittsburgh in March, though.

Give and take.
There are some great aspects to this schedule.
Wed and Fri around Thanksgiving is great for a lot of people. Dec 27th v Red Wings. NYE v Caps. 12 of 14 at home in March/April. A Friday night in Columbus.
There are always going to be things to complain about, but this is getting kind of ridiculous.

I'll be in Minny as well more than likely. Got a friend up there who lives close to the arena..been waiting a few years for a Saturday game during the winter break in school. Saving my pennies for plane ticket now

is there any presale code yet for the game in columbus like we all got 2 years ago?
man, me and my buddy know our road trip this year is gonna be to tampa/miami, but we're torn on whether to go in february or april (last 2 games of the season).
the february games might be a little more meaningful, because a lot of times the last 2 games of the season are games where at least one of the teams is just going through the motions getting ready for the playoffs and there's zero intensity. but if we went in april, we'd have a free place to stay. decisions, decisions........

Not sure about a presale code, but I know if you can find at least 9 other people that want to go with you, you can call and buy group tickets for the Pens game right now. Early tickets, cheaper prices, and you avoid the ticketmaster fees. Hard to pass up if you have people willing to go with you.
