just saw a tweet everything #11 is 50% off at all penguin stores.
Staal's first year in the league I was toying between buying a Staal jersey or a Malkin jersey. Glad I bought the Malkin jersey. It doesn't have the "A" though.

Last pick, good for Nick!

Nice to see that St. Louis and Detroit were sniffing around Sundqvist as both have strong scouting of Western European players.

That's the nature of the business now.
NHL goalies Under 6-foot in the top 45 in wins: 3
Gotta be "this tall" to play...for better or for worse.

Is that right? Not including players that played less than a quarter of the games? Well, I'll be...

Counting guys who played 2 games?

It's 3... Halak, Thomas, and Backstrom.
The 5 counted 2 guys who played in 2 games each: Mike Muphy and Khudobin

I heard trouble is already brewing in Montreal, after the Habs brass wouldn't let HCMT trade the 3rd overall pick for Michel Ouellet

Fun fact: You think we draft a lot of d-men? The Isles used all 7 of their picks on D this draft.

Yeah, that was pretty remarkable. They sure need it though.

I think 4 or 5 of their prospects have jumped ship overseas recently as well...so they can re-stock. Kelly Chase said on NHL Network last night that they offered all of their draft picks to Columbus to move up from 4 to 2...but I don't believe that.
