From Hockey Buzz once again showing we are not getting Parise. Love to see it won't happen.
Talking to people close to Parise I am still hearing the #1 priority for Z is to play in an organization who considrs him their GO-To guy...He wants out from under Kovy's shadow...so then why, you may ask, would he go play in Pittsburgh? ...the city I keep hearing more and more tied to Parise and of course suter? It is not like Parise is an aging vet looking for his shot at the Cup. If I had a nickel for every rumor that started with, The two players are close...so they will sign together.
It just isnt a given. My source said Parise could be the "Go-to guy in Toronto or Minnesota and that will matter more"
I also hear that as of now...Detroit isnt confident of getting Parise...as much as they are of Suter..

If the internet says it, it must be true.

No player in the last 20 years has had fun playing in Toronto. I'd rather be rich and happy and play in Crosby's shadow then rich and misreable and have the Toronto media all over me asking why I haven't lead the team to a cup as a go to guy.
Minnesota is a possibility though. We will know on Sunday.

Internet or not the story makes a ton of sense. You need to be a realist Parise just doesn't make sense. Why would he want to come to Pgh?

Oh...I thought the argument here was going to be that since HockeyBuzz said he was going to Pittsburgh, it meant he wasn't.

I'm pretty sure that Eklund's "source" for all his info is a magic 8-ball.

There are a lot of reasons why one could cite why Parise wouldn't be a Penguin. But for God's sake please don't use Hockey Buzz as one of them!

Dave Molinari @MolinariPG
Urge all NHL fans to invest in pair of hipwaders this weekend. Misinformation and other muck will be flowing waist-deep for the next 10 days
advice from saturday for penguin fans.
The Rangers or Montreal would be the perfect location for top-dog wanna-beee

I agree with Molinari on this; of course, he told us that Staal was not on the trading block.

I know Parise is a really good player but any team where he is far and away the "best" player probably isn't making much noise in the playoffs.
...and players still actually want to play in Toronto?

I was thinking the same thing. I've always thought of him as a competitor, not as a...Rick Nash.

OP, I know you are just trolling with this topic for satire reasons but please, don't use Eklund as a source of info and then not post who the source is from. He's an idiot and everyone in the hockey world knows it. It's as bad as the guy from inside Pittsburgh sports.

Eklund

, i would believe a politition befor i believe Eklund.
Of course i tend to believe Praise will not be a Pen, just on a gut feeling. But sure hope i am wrong. Actually when i have a gut feeling i would be better off believing the oposite.

Zach Parise has how many cups? How many would he get with Minnesota and Toronto?

Wait do being the captain of the team meant he was in kovy's shadow?

To be fair, P(Parise is not a pen) > P(Parise is a pen). That's common sense.
Doesn't mean the probability is zero, though.

Dislike this argument because one could easily say.
Crosby and Malkin have how many cups? How many would they get with Pittsburgh?
The probability for success could be higher, but it's never a guaranteed thing.
