I look at it this way, this should have been a slam dunk, done deal if he really wanted to play with Crosby and the Pens. The money is there so there are no excuses NOT to play unless it is apparent, he wants to play the bidding game. Not happy with how he is going about this even if the Pens do win out on this.
Mentioned this in the other thread about your rant. When he said at the beginning of the day that he was going to think about it, why is it looking bad that he's taking the time he said he was going to take?
He has, let's assume 4 or 5 different offers in front of him with different stipulations, teams, situations, etc. If you came in thinking it would ONLY be about playing with Sid, you really weren't doing yourself justice. It's probably safe to assume the Pens are not the highest offer, so the fact that he hasn't called Shero, like he has some other teams, is positive.
If you think ANY player is going to ignore money, you are fooling yourself. If it was ONLY about money, Parise wouldn't have told anyone they are out of the running because he could use them to get better offers.
You're entitled to your opinion, but it seems weird that you would question a guy who has said for almost the entire day that he would be making a decision tomorrow and handled it pretty well by notifying teams he doesn't really want to play for.
EDIT to add: Pointing out flaws in your statement like saying we should cut bait and go after Doan when Doan said he won't make a decision until July 9th AT THE EARLIEST isn't bashing. If you can't handle that being pointed out, perhaps you should do 3 seconds of research.
