NBC: B. Unlike many, I had no problem with them switching away from the Penguin game, because I understand what they were doing. Obviously, they should not have switched in Western PA, but for those of us elsewhere, fine, no problem. Hmmmmm, 5-0 game or 1-1 game. Which one would anyone except Penguin fans want to watch? Pretty easy choice when you look at it like that. And, oh, by the way, the Isle/Ranger game was a great one.

Never, Never, Never move Malone off the thrid line. He is built for that role and does it well. :

I give NBC an A. I thought they did a great job. McGuire talking to Sid and Colby was great. The mic on Sid was great.
Very good call on the switch over, it was needed and for NBC they did what was good for them.
The rest...I agree with.
Who was the Gollum of the game? I'd give it to Zdeno Chara for looking like a Gollum.

CT Mechanic wrote:I disagree with the striped buffoons getting an F on this game. Yes, they did it almost exactly opposite the previous game where they put away the whistles, but at least this game they were calling the calls. They did miss a couple, but if the game before was clearly an F, then this game has to show improvement, right? I'd say "C" but if you wanted to only move up to "F+" I wouldn't argue.

I have no doubt Steve Walkom checks every day to see what MCM rated his refs and the effects will trickle down from there.

You got me, for not going to the start of this thread. I could read all weekend but not post due to a Co laptop. Still say the calls were very inconsistent and frustrating to the players. Good weekend for the Pens, and it's only a little push to the end.CT Mechanic wrote:LOL I'd post the definition of "tongue in cheek" but I'm sure that you've gotten it as soon as you read it.
