Jake still doesn't get it. I think Josh has a chance to do something, but Jake seems to just think everything will magically fall into place because of his blood.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think Josh will regret getting into business with Jake... I just don't see the drive there.

As much as I dislike Elliot as a captain, I have to feel somewhat bad that he can't see his kids.

If he wasn't such a moron and loser he'd see them more.

How is that guy a captain? You have got essentially no crab, you start pulling in huge numebrs then you leave? Stupid.

Woo, just saw a commercial for Deadliest Catch coming back April 16th. Didnt reveal much except Edgar "earning the right" to run the boat and Sig cursing...haha

No clue why I like this show so much every year.

They almost lost me with season 7, but 8 bounced back in a big way.

Ug. We really needed a recap? Looks like 2 less hours to watch.

Reality TV. Make it cheap - put in tons of commercials.

I love how, on most reality shows including this one...the episode usually starts with highlights from last episode and/or preview of what you are about to watch... *commercial break* then you see some stuff for 10 minutes *commercial break* then you see a minute or so that just happened before the commercial break and then some new stuff *commercial break* rinse and repeat a few times, *commercial break* cliffhanger *commercial break* preview of next episode...aaaaaaaaand go to next week where you re-see last weeks preview and get a recap of last weeks episode and repeat.

Apparently it is "The Boys Are Back" by the Dropkick Murphys. I guess JeffDFD doesn't answer questions in this thread. :pop:

Ha. I could have answered that one actually.

I just watched the last years recap episode. Crazy season...will be hard to top with the ice, cost guard rescue, time bandit almost capsizing, that piece of finger, Elliott's personal issues...a lot else too.

Him owning a boat now is destined to fail. I will be stunned if he makes it.

I feel the reason I watch this show is that it is the only one with real, life threatening drama. All other reality shows are far too scripted to take seriously

How did this moron either A) hold a job long enough to save for a boat or B) convince a bank to give him loan for one?

I missed a few seasons back, how did this tool even become a captain to begin with?

I was wondering the same thing. He said he was heading out to sea with about $10 in his bank account. He mentioned the bank gave him a massive loan. Doesnt sound like the smartest plan, even with getting paid for being on the show. He was bragging about being 30 years old and owning his own boat. I'd rather not have those bragging rights than be up against failure that would put you in financial ruin

I can't believe anyone gave him a loan. Certainly they saw how terrible he was on the show...
