Probably Comrie. It's pretty rare that I actually dislike a Pens player. Semin will probably take the cake if Shero does the unfortunate and signs him.

No doubt Mario Lemieux, he should have done more for this franchise than what he did. I mean come on Mario :)

I don't really hate anyone from around the 2002 - 04 dark days. Most of the dudes just flat out should not have been in the NHL. We made bad trades only to get cash and those guys were just holding places waiting for a new CBA, arena or top draft picks to show up.
My list:
Naslund - really you were too scared to play with stars.
Zubov - people forget he was hated here by all his teammates.
Morozov - all that talent and got scratched in playoff games. Weak game.
Every 3rd line center we had from 1993 until Staal arrived.

Puts Backstrom on my all time fav. list, because there's no way Dupuis puts that puck on net

Mostly because of a game against the Bruins in 2009 when he let in like 3 goals on his first 4 shots, but got lucky we won 6-5 or 7-5.
How can you hate a guy that rarely played and was on the team for what? 6 months at the most?

Because I honestly couldn't think of anyone I hated to see more than him. I don't really hate players, but he's one of the few.

It's really hard for me to hate players just because they don't live up to expectations or because of the style that they play. I think that's more my fault for having different expectations and it's not necessarily the player's fault. It's not like I cheer for a player on the pens to fail.

I mean, I'm in the same boat. Garon was the only person I can remember that I even remotely hated.

That whole situation was pretty slow developing. A lot of us didn't really know how good Naslund was going to be, and there was no reason to think otherwise of Stojanov. Certainly in hindsight, but the on-ice product for the pens wasn't that terribly different because we never saw Naslund at his best.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned MIKE WILSON! Didn't play here long but was grade-a garbage from beginning to end.

Defo Sid. Gets boos in so many arenas for... being really really good. I think AO had far more appeal for the non Pens/Caps fans when they broke into the league. Ovechkin had the outgoing personality and flashy moves, Sid was very reserved and instantly labled a whiner/show-boater/diver etc (thanks Mr Cherry). It baffles me why there is still so much hatred, kinda wish he'd push more gloves away and earn it a little!

There is a picture of Klima on the bench with the Pens during a game with the Lightning in the first Lemieux book.
My vote for former Pen I hated the most goes to Barrasso.

Mike Wilson
Kelly Buchberger
Mike Eastwood
Ferrarro Twins
Racchi after he started to complain and not produce in 05

I always considered Rico.Fata a dbag by association because his brother was a real POS off the ice during his tine in Wheeling.

Can't say i've really hated any of them really. I'd say Endicott was most most disliked played because of how talked up he was, but you just knew he sucked... really really bad.
The player I've had the most anger towards while watching was Gonchar. I loved him, but there were so many times I wanted to break the TV because of something stupid he did.

I guess I can add CBork. What makes Fata higher on the list was that he showed some NHL talent one season and then went on a Bourque/Comrie/Recchi 3.0-like goalless streak and never recovered.
Bourque was just an AHL ringer that happened to stumble onto an NHL roster.
