For some reason I thought Kolstov was going to be a beast, so I loved, but he sucked.
Post Pens, I still love Jagr even though most hate him.

My username says it all. Loved Gary.
Second would be Martin Straka. His speed was electrifying.

Just foe the thread. Then everyone would have the same response.

To continue that thought. You can't irrationally love a player on your favorite team. Your reason for liking them is that they're on your favorite team.

how would you have phrased to eliminate the likes of Crosby, Malkin, Lemieux, Jagr, etc. without having to name all of the extraordinary talent that the Pens have had other years?

Joe Dziedzic
But 1a would have to be Rico Fata. I remember playing on an old NHL game on the PC and found him on the Calgary Flames roster...very fast skater, so I traded for him before the Pens ever signed him, thought he might develop into something in real life. Decent in a video game, not so much for the real Penguins.

I always really liked Jiri Slegr for the sole reason that he would always stay on the ice after the warm-ups and help the ice crew scoop up all of the practice pucks.

Ron Tugnutt - He was brought back when they finally got rid of Tom Barrasso.
Miro Satan - Just followed his career since he was drafted and loved when the Pens signed him and even happier he won a Cup with the Pens.

I always liked Satan, starting from when he was with the Oilers, because of his name and arched eyebrows which looked the part. That's pretty irrational. For many years his id in many hockey databases was 666. Still true on Yahoo: ca.sports.yahoo.com/nhl/players/666

I'm still amused by Pens fans thinking that Hossa had more of an obligation to the franchise than Staal.
Neither wanted to be here in the long run.
