Still have cash in Full Tilt Poker?

Postby Pavel Bure on Tue Jul 31, 2012 6:29 pm

You'll be getting it back.

Pokerstars settled with the gov and bought FTP's major assets. They will allow all U.S. players to withdraw any funds they have left that has been locked up since black whatever day... One step closer to regulating online poker rooms? I sure hope so, I haven't been able to get my fix in quite a while. Casino's don't work because the lowest games they have are $1-2 NL or $2-4LH and no $5 S&Gs. I haven't played for a living in many years but I still liked to get on and screw around at the quarter tables or in $5 S&Gs or tourneys. I hope online poker comes back to the U.S.

The law used to police it was badly misapplied. Never should have happened in the first place.

This is very true but hey when the gov. isn't wetting it's beak there's gonna be a gross misappropriation of power.

anyone ever play on a site called jetset poker back in the day? I had some money on there that I lost before all of this crackdown stuff happened. I didn't really care because I got second in a huge free tourney to get the money in the first place...then went to the penny tables tables and made it bigger...then 2/4 cent..then 5/10...then I think I stopped playing for a bit and it was gone. Fun site while it lasted...less "serious" but still good.

I won 1800 bucks in a $5 buy in tourney on Partypoker about six years ago. 1200 or so entered, I lasted somehow and won. Happy I won that stuff before the crackdown.

Super good grant land article on this. Takes the logical step of Stars buying FTP because online poker will make a comeback very soon and Stars will lead that having bought up the majority of the U.S. market in this deal.

If it comes back I hope they keep FTPs interface. Much more smooth and much more free flowing.

*Sigh*

Dear ridic x,

As a player on Full Tilt Poker, you may be aware of the recent settlement reached with the U.S. Department of Justice (the "DOJ").

Full Tilt Poker will not offer real money online poker in the U.S. until it is permissible to do so under relevant law.

In relation to your account balance, you will have the opportunity to file petition with the DOJ through a remission process which will be administrated by the DOJ.

In light of the above, only play chip games will be available to Full Tilt Poker players in the U.S. following re-launch, in the first week of November, 2012. Your Full Tilt Points balance will remain intact in your account.

Please note that we are unable to answer queries in relation to your funds - all such questions should be directed to the DOJ in accordance with the procedure to be defined by them.

Please retain this email for your records.

Sincerely,

Full Tilt Poker
