To be fair, these aren't NFL refs working tonight although they should know the basic penalties like holding.

The Seahawks fan in me is trying to figure out if Owens is going to be a good or bad thing.

Sidney Rice is their best receiver, and he's out indefinitely with a shoulder injury. This close to the start of the season, I can't imagine his shoulder will be close to 100% all year whenever he does make it back. That left them with Golden Tate, Deon Butler, Ben Obomanu and Doug Baldwin in their top four. They've got Zach Miller and a reclamation project in Kellen Winslow Jr. at TE, but with Rice's status unknown, I guess the one-year flier on Owens couldn't hurt.

Plus, dude is reportedly close to broke. As sad as it may be to say, maybe that provides extra incentive to stick around and not be a headcase.

I'm not sure that he's ever been a problem under a coach that has a backbone.

Not sure of TO's health, but with that lineup I can see him getting more receptions than he would anywhere else.

Owen ran a sub-4.5 40 during his workout the other day. That is incredible for a receiver at his age coming off of knee surgery.
