Metallurg coach is Paul Maurice, so he won't have to play any defense...

Anyone else more scared of him in the planes than getting injured?

Crosby should sign there today, might as well dominate that league if they can't dominate the NHL.
Root sports could pick up the games, change the team colors and jerseys to look like the Penguins! Half of the people watching the games wouldn't notice the difference

I'd be more afraid for Sid's health playing in Russia than playing in any other country, especially because of that Chekov goon team.

I enjoy that Malkin wants to play more hockey. If he gets hurt, he gets hurt. I can't really find fault even if he did get hurt, because it's on the owners that would presumably "lock" the players out if it goes this route.

Playing hockey is what hockey players do. It must be a real treat for him to have a place to go play where he will be appreciated by fans like he gets in Pittsburgh.
This one was a no brainer, but what about Sid???

He will more than likely continue skating and training with the same group of NHLers he has currently been training with in LA

He should just join a mens league and play goalie.

I agree. The plus side to this is when the season eventually starts, he'll be in game shape already.

Not sure what I'm more afraid of, the planes or the care injured players recieve. You 've had people die during games of there for crying out loud

Its terrifying... but lets not forget Cherepanov was taking PEDs and there really wasn't anything trainers could do
