Official 2012-13 Pitt Football Thread

Postby IanMoran on Sat Sep 01, 2012 4:45 pm

I'm not sure if this thread is inappropriate?

Last year we had the college football thread and the Big East thread (which was mostly Pitt with some WVU).

Anyways

Hail to Pitt

Hopefully the Paul Chryst era goes a little better than the last 2 hirings.

I'd really like to see Pitt have a CONVINCING win tonight.

It looks like Ray Graham is all set to go (At least he's tweeting like he is).

RB- Rushel shell, DB Tony Gonzalez, DL Tyrone Ezell, and D Shayne Hale all suspended from tonight's game

Here is hoping that Tino isn't in full suck mode early on. If he can just be a game manager this team could win some games. If he tries to gun sling the ball around.. then Pitt is F'd.

I admit this isn't the best way to judge someone, but if one were to judge Tino based on his Twitter account... he's not a very intelligent fellow. Idk if I'd trust him to stay in game manager mode

The QBs can't possibly suck as bad as they did last year. Right? Please?

Eh, time to stock up on booze.

I don't think that'll be the case with Chryst's offense, but even if it is I think Tino could be fine in a pro-style offense when he has time to make decisions based off of what he sees rather than anticipating what his receivers will do.

The structure in the NFL is great, but you have to love some of the awesome plays/formations you see in college. For the most part its kids who wont go pro playing the game they love like its still backyard football and sometimes the plays reflect that.
