Knock on wood, but our brick house hasn't really had an issue. We get the normal 1-3 a week that make it inside, but it's pretty manageable.

They definitely smell...but it is a smell that is hard to explain what you would smell so I can't tell you what to really expect. If you have enough around, you most likely have smelled it, but didnt think mcuh of it. You definitely would notice it if it was inside and let teh smell rip as opposed to outside in the open air.

Just did a google search. Didn't realize these MFers came from China in 1998.

I was going to say, I didn't remember these things when I was a kid.

When I picked up my kids at school yesterday the building was covered with thousands of stinkbugs. They were flying around like a swarm of locusts.

The smell is awful, or at least to my nostrils it is. Just this bizarre, pungent smell. Fun fact: The smell is actually a cyanide compound.

To me they smell like cilantro. Really don't mind it all that much.

IIRC, the smell attracts more stink bugs, which is why killing one brings 10 more.

I don't remember these at all as a kid. Why are they a problem all of a sudden?

Edit: Nvm NaN answered. Come on SCIENCE! We need a chemical or something for this.

Skinner: The lizards are a godsend.
Lisa: But isn't that a bit short-sighted? What happens when we're overrun by lizards?
Skinner: No problem. We simply release wave after wave of Chinese needle snakes. They'll wipe out the lizards.
Lisa: But aren't the snakes even worse?
Skinner: Yes, but we're prepared for that. We've lined up a fabulous type of gorilla that thrives on snake meat.
Lisa: But then we're stuck with gorillas!
Skinner: No, that's the beautiful part. When wintertime rolls around, the gorillas simply freeze to death.

I wish it would kill them all. I found like 4 or 5 in my house when the weather got warm a few days ago.
