What was your first car?

Mine was a bit more recent model...but it had like donuts for wheels and if you got over 60 MPH it was like a wind tunnel inside and you couldnt hear any music. Felt like a go kart with a fancy enclosure. Got me from A to B though in high school.

I think there’s still a set of old snow tires for mine in the back of the garage at my mother’s house. I remember the size: 175/80 R-13. That’s not too much larger than space-saver spares these days.

Did your Horizon also have the heater controls to the left of the steering wheel? I liked that. The driver had sole control over the temperature in the car. If I’m driving and I’m comfortable, then anyone else in the car who isn’t is screwed. Too hot? Too cold? Too bad.

My favorite feature in any car was the 60's Mustangs had a little pedal on the left side that you could press and it would cause the windshield wipers to to make 1 pass.

I thought that was way cool.

Drove the wheels off of it then replaced it with a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 340. Mine was silver with black interior/black vinyl top. The previous owner replaced the original 340 with a 440 big block.

First car I bought was a Jeep Wrangler... the basest-base model you can find, and did some basic customization to allow for some summer topless cruising and trail riding. Loved that truck...

I was at the big Rogers,O flea market on Friday and bought something interesting in some cheap junk.
It was a 1924 owners card ;car license, for a guy from Erie County. The vehicle was a 1922 Ford Truck. These licenses listed Horsepower;his Ford truck listed at 23 HP.

I've never needed a riding lawnmower but I'm guessing there are models that exceed the 1922 Ford's engine.

My first car (1955 VW) was suppose to have 36 HP. I doubt it even had 30. On the plus side it got great mileage even if gas was .30 cents a gallon.

this was my first bike - 1985 Honda Nighthawk 650. It had just about everything imaginable going wrong with it last fall - tires, fork seals, master cylinder, rear brakes, starter, stator, etc etc etc.

i parted it out. hopefully a Shadow 750 is in my future. I've been thinking of selling my GTO and doing zipcar/motorcycle.

Ran good for a year, but had issues with the carbs even after a complete rebuild. I ended up selling it to a guy I used to work with. A few years later, I did see it at a bike rally with even more rust on the exhaust.
