Are You Ready for Some Football - Steelers/Eagles

Postby blackjack68 on Sun Oct 07, 2012 1:53 am

Here we sit at 1-2 while the Eagles are 3-1.

Antonio Brown is mouthing off.

We get Mendy, Harrison and Troy back.

I live in South Jersey amid the Eagles faithful.

Please God, let the Steelers win (if not romp) today.

Here We Go Steelers!

I think it's interesting that my FOX channel will be showing Newcastle vs Man U....but I'd rather see the Stillers and Iggles.

Same here. Considering that half of Charlotte is from Pittsburgh, you'd think they'd throw us a bone.

Really, really pulling for a win today. Preferably, our defense learns how to generate turnovers for the first time in years

I get the Skins game, but that's not a surprise since I live in the DC-Metro area. Off to Champps, I guess. I hate not watching games at home and instead having to go out and spend money to watch a game.

If you can have a "must win" game this early in the season, this is a must-win game.

But you can't

Although I agree that 1-3 would be be tough to climb out of

Dwyer inactive...

I guess that's good news for Mendy

Also interesting that Redman, Rainey, Batch all get a jersey but Dwyer doesn't.

Last week's debacle made this one a must-win. But it's also a home game and the Eagles haven't been very impressive other than beating the Giants(who are struggling). This is a game the Steelers should win if they're a good team.Guess we'll find out today how good the Steelers are.

I've been very disappointed by the run blocking this year. Rashard may help since he has outside speed but he also gets dropped for losses and dances too much for my liking. With their passing ability you'd think the inside running game would open up for them but these guys have run blocked no one this year preseason or the first three games. Their pass blocking has been as good as can be expected though.

I've been of the belief that the Steeler panic was pre-mature with them playing without Harrison / Troy I think them struggling would be a given..

Hopefully they look better with those 2 back (I'm prediciting they will)

Steelers 28
Eagles 24

Pittsburgh wins because they play well at home and Mike Vick loves to turn the ball over.

Timmons needs to make that sack in the backfield.
