LOL, thanks.

So at least I am justified in how jaded I am in regards to dating, the game that goes with it, and all things in between. :P

I said, "maybe." :P I have heard from friends that, by around 40, the game has changed. New strategery, maybe even a flak jacket and helmet, are needed. Very dangerous, as the terrain is riddled with teenagers from first marriages. Can any of our romantic sages, our "Soldiers of Love," offer testimonials?

Testimonials? No... "war stories", you betcha... But they aren't interesting to anyone but me. :)

My advice to y'all is not to try and force a "square peg" in a "round hole" (get yer mind out if the gutter).

Seriously, you get pretty jaded when you end up 50-something and multiple failures in your history. It gets so you can't/won't trust ANYONE anymore.

Being single can be a challenge, but it sure beats going through a divorce or two (or three) and not having the benefit of those family relationships that get built up over the years of a solid marriage/relationship.

(is that TMI?) ;)

I was saying it sounds like he has the inspiration from his life to compose some pretty awesome blues songs

EPP would get a kick out of it considering his taste in music

I deleted it be because I thought it just might be a bit too controversial of a subject for a 'family board'.

But, you've never heard the phrase "the rabbit died" before? I thought that was pretty widespread. I guess I'm showing my age. It was definitely widespread when I was in high school in the 70's.

Edited to correct spelling

so hypothetical speaking, when a girlfriend asks you if you would like it if she came along when you got your haircut, what does that mean? and when you ask her why she would want to come with you and sit around in a boring hair cutting place, her reasons range from "she wanted to take a drive" to she wanted to get coffee to "im not being clingy"

what does this all mean

It means in my opinion...you suck at getting your hair cut. I will tell you subtly how to get it cut. Because I just happen to be there.

hypothetically speaking, girlfriend does not like the way kenny the kangaroos hair is cut and she makes it well known on a regular in continuous basis. this is an established fact.

at the haircutting place, she did not once try to influence the cutting of kenny the kangaroos hair.
