what kind of shoes does one wear with dark jeans? i'm not sure i wanna rock the nikes with a sweater but dress shoes seem like a bit much too.

How about something like beefroll penny loafters?

I went with the black oxfords. Might try something else next time.

what style jeans are they?

ill wear black or brown boots, sperrys, or tan canvas slip ons usually. sometimes ill wear air jordans or air max 90s, depends on the rest of the outfit. if my legs were skinnier id wear loafters with 511s.

i found levis is selling 514s (their cut that looks best on me) in twill and couduroy now. those make for a slightly dressier option than denim.

today im going out looking for a silverish pair of pants. i got a black tux jacket for my friends wedding next friday so i want something to go with that.

a guy in my lab got made fun of for giving a poster session in which he was wearing khaki dress pants, a darkish blue shirt and black belt with black shoes. why was he getting made fun of?? they were saying anytime you wear khaki dress pants you wear brown shoes and brown belt. any opinions on the matter?

I exclusively wear black shoes and belts.
Brown is for squares.

i always wear brown shoes with khaki pants. i'm no fashion expert, but i wouldn't think about wearing black shoes with khakis

I'd suggest wearing a shirt and shoes also,at least in cold weather.
