Are You Ready for Some Football - Steelers/Bengals 2012 v1.0

Postby blackjack68 on Sun Oct 21, 2012 10:19 am

Is this the beginning of the turnaround?

Gonna be tough with Troy out again.

Mendy and Redman both out.

Dwyer gets his chance to prove and redeem himself.

Steelers win by 10+.

Here we go Steelers!

Over/under on Ike Taylor pass interference penalties is at 3. Anybody want in on the action?

Bengals win +10.

Considering they lost the last two road games by a fg as time expired, I still think the Steelers will win.

This is a good point. McClendon's much better than Casey and Keisel appears to have gone downhill. Heyward deserves to split time with him.I don't see why Ike should be starting after his play this season either.
That being said ,their injury luck this year has been horrible but that's something you have to deal with if you want to remain a contender. It seems obvious that whatever they win this year will be due to Ben. I'd like to see them go no huddle a lot to keep teams from substituting. That'll help overcome their OL weaknesses.

Ike Taylor was the #1 CB against the pass last year in the entire NFL with something rediculous like a 34% completion percentage. Try again.

Did you watch the Denver game? Did you watch the Superbowl, the seaon before?

He gets exposed against any team with a respectable QB.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry when Stillers fans compare him to Darrelle Revis, Nnamdi Asomugha, or Asante Samuel

False information is false.

Brice McCain was the 1# CB in the league (According to that garbage stat) last year with a 30% completion percentage. There is like 5 other CBs in between him and Ike, Will Allen and Richard Sherman are two of them.

That stat sucks so hard... its like plus/minus in the nhl.

According to FO (who I trust more than PFF, but both are subjective) Ike was targeted more than most elite CBs but top 10 in YAC, Success Rate and Catch Rate. Not sure why anyone would think he sucks. I feel like at this point I should just join in with everyone else and post whatever I want without bothering to check to see if it is true or not.

I agreed with statement prior to the first game this season that Ike was a good CB. I still stand by that. He's been awful this year and should be replaced to see if Cortez can play better. If that makes you tingle with vindication than whatever floats your boat.
Don't see that as folly but again it's the boat floating thing.
Before the first game this year I considered Keisel a good DE. But he's been mediocre at best through 5 games.
