It's going to be awful. We just lost Francis in January (15 yrs old.) Straka is 12 and we thought we'd have a little more time before having to go through it again.
We had a Francis also, great cat, duel named francis, once for Ronnie and once after the book, "bedtime for francis". Putting a pet down is tough to go through. But we mostly called her Fran.
Sorry to hear about Straka. I have an 11-year-old border terrier mix named Bugsy, who I could say was named after ex-Pens D Bryan Watson, but he wasn't.
We have a cat named Sidney, due to the fact she was the first one of the litter picked when a friend was giving away kittens. For a while we had four kittens we were trying to get rid of. When we had successfully unloaded three, the remaning cat was named "Pascal" for being leftover as the forgotten party in the dealings, but Pascal was later claimed.
I also participated in naming an all white cat Flurry, which I guess is sort of Pens related. Flurry has an all black roommate named Storm, so it works without reference to Fleury.
Sorry to hear that. We put our Lab Bailey down late last year. It stinks.
We rescued a Coonhound this summer, and he is an amazing companion - so it will get better. I miss Bailey still, but the new guy spends almost every second with me while he is awake.
sorry to hear champeen we had to put ours down last year.
my parents' dog, which was pretty much mine when I lived at home is named Kovi. Their other dog is Jack after Jack Wilson, and my brother's dog is Cutch. As far as my extended family goes (aunts and uncles and grandparents) we've had:
Zarley - dog Coffey Cat - cat, obviously Zubov - cat Jags - dog Sidney - cat Guin - dog Slash - cat
their are probably more, can't remember others off-hand
We also got a cat named Kovy, he came with the house we bought. The previouse owner left him, i was ready to take it to the pound, but the wife and Daughter forced me to keep him. He and our other cat Tabitha didn't get along to well. He is a annoying cat, always meows to go out side.
