Was thinking about this season overall so far...

Spoiler:
Way too many chase scenes... I swear every episode has had one... seems like an excuse to play a song (possibly advertising $$$?) and have an action sequence. They are generally entertaining, but at some point, it gets old.

Brutal season so far with the type of violence... Tig's daughter being burned alive in front of him, Opie, the snow globe... Abel.

Was there any point to Gemma's latest one night stand? Bring in a character for a couple episodes, have a chase scene, a beat down... and then he's gone. I guess maybe this was supposed to lead to Jax reconciling with her? Kinda weak.

Have to wonder if Clay is really working on his own w the Nomads and the home invasions... but if he isn't... who is responsible? Pope? The Irish? Who would want to see Jax dead/out of the picture?

Not sure what's going to happen with Juice... it's hard to see them taking out yet another long time crew member... but when kids are on the table, anything can happen. I beleive that calls for a Image

If tonight's episode doesn't answer the Abel question within the first 5 minutes I'll rage...

Spoiler:
Thankfully, there was no Abel-kebab. I was gonna say, I rewound it a few times and it always looked like the tree was through the car, but next to him. That would have been too far even for this show...

Jax used to be easy to root for. Now he's just evil like the rest.

I wouldn't say he's evil, but he's definitely changed/lost any empathy he used to have.

New viewer this season and love how it gets more intense each episode.

Spoiler:
Was disappointed that Gemma had cover early on and was going to "get away" with it. Glad they changed it up and are using her now.

I think they will be at the start of next episode. Remember, Frankie said that if they follow him, that he will kill Chibbs. I think they realize that he was only using Chibbs to get away (even Bobby said so), and that they will go find him once they feel that Frankie has got away and Chibbs is safe.

I'm right there with ya! LOVE Juice! Hate that Clay is using him like this. I'm hoping somehow it'll get turned around on Clay....but man, it's not looking good for Juice right now. Can't BELIEVE he told Clay EVERYTHING. :?

Couldn't even enjoy this episode due to the crap happening on the other channels.

I know another poster who won't enjoy this episode either...

Ugh not looking good for Juice. Really hope Juice survives this season. Hopefully this is Kurt Sutter throwing us another swerve.

<Sorry for always being a day late and a dollar short in this thread...I DVR Sons and watch it Wednesdays after work.>

EFF! Poor Juice. I keep hoping that some way, somehow, he'll get out of this. Clearly Eli's feeling bad about it...maybe he'll come through.

I do find it interesting that Jax IMMEDIATELY comes to that conclusion. I mean, come on--like Clay said, they've all done things "outside the reaper." Even Jax's dear friend Opie worked with the feds.....

Sidenote: Otto/Tara scene was just BIZARRE.

Heh, I had the same thought, cheesesteak.

Speculation regarding Juice..

Spoiler:
I don't think Jax us going to kill him. I think he's going to try to use Juice to get to Clay. I just can't see another long time member dying this season.

I haven't really liked Juice much the past season and a half tbh... He's just been incredibly weak and Clay's lapdog for much of it...

Ditto.

Overall, somewhat disappointed with the season. As someone said earlier, each episode seems to shoehorn in a chase of some kind. From Sutter's tweets, I think there's a video game being developed. I wonder if its related to that. Seems a little transparent this year too. Still love the show, just a step back this year for me.

Tonight's episode is 90 minutes. I believe the rest of the episodes this season are at least 75 minutes, maybe 90 as well.
