Unfortunately, many of the songs I loved as a kid that were, and are still, popular I hate now because DVE has forty-two songs on a random loop and they've killed them all for me. So I really dislike most pop music. Therefore I'll answer a different question: Popular songs that I like. Kind of a guilty pleasures thing.

One Day by Matisyahu. So poppy, and the lyrical content far from his best, but fun to sing.
There's some Dubstep/Pop song floating around that I can't name, but it's pretty catchy too.

That is #1 for sure.

I can't hate on this song despite how much it's played. It's great because it doesn't repeat a verse or phrase over and over like most pop songs. It's more than just verse, bridge, chorus, repeat, solo, end. It's a very well-written song in that it involves actual song writing. Not like the crap churned out today.
