I've seen videos like that gif before. IIRC, that machine is specifically for bathing pets. It washes them and then blows them dry. Of course, cats don't really like baths of any form.

The guy rescues her by supporting her laying down---i.e., she's horizontal in the chair, but the guy is holding that chair so she doesn't continue tumbling. They stay this way until they're halfway up the elevator when someone stops it. She gets right up and walks down the steps.

I've noticed that any mall I've been to have those electric carts for use. I'm not sue if actually need to be disabled to use one. Maybe she stole it and decided to go for a joy ride on the escalator.
