I actually thought it was the right call. As the PSU player started to extend the ball, around the 2 yrd line, he obviously lost control. He instead starting pushing the ball toward the goal line, following the ball's momentum. To me, it look like he lost control as he went to transfer the ball to his two hands.

They would have won if it wasn't for that play, they made an immediate defensive stop after that drive, then they would have ran out the clock.

No one is saying that...but wow, really? That play is ruled correctly, 30-27 with 7 minutes or so left, and their defense had shut down Nebraska after a rough third. Instead, it's 27-23 and Nebraska gets the ball at the 20, and proceeds to bomb a punt down to the 2.

I know they let the game go after the half, but you can most certainly look at that blown call as the key factor in the end.

Funny how you say 'no one is saying that' then you go ahead and say it...

Penn State had two possessions after this and couldn't move the football. Nebraska scored 24 points on offense in the second half, and only 3 of them came after this play; a meaningless field goal at the end of the game. You can blame the refs, but this is the latest in a series of letdowns this year. If your key factor between winning and losing is one play, you didn't have much of a chance anyway.
