has anyone talked to a franchisee or business owner that's affected? I have and they're very concerned and realize they have difficult decisions to make and they don't feel the need to go public , maybe consumer backlash is a reason, who knows. I do know they're not looking forward to having to reduce hours, and risk losing good people, or hiring more part time employees, it's easy to think they'll pass the increase to the consumer, but they might need to get approval from the parent company, which isn't a given.

What was he factually inaccurate about?

My point is he is not presenting an unbiased overall look at the effects of the ACA and people constantly refer to Stewart. He has come up multiple times just on the last several pages of this thread. He bashes folks in similar fashion as if "common sense, rich guys just wants to get richer how can he think we are all this stupid".

So he's not actually spouting factless rhetoric, he's just stating his opinion. And people who agree with his opinion use it as a way of bringing that angle up.

Lol.

Semantics of a word. Awesome. As if someone's opinion on a news show is ok when his followers state it as fact.

So I assume if you hate Jon Stewart, you feel equally uneasy about Rush Limbaugh, Michael Moore, Glenn Beck and their followers?

I don't hate John Stewart I hate when people watch his show and develop opinions.

For the most part I get annoyed at the folks you listed. I very rarely see a person talk realistically and give me straight news.

I get most of my opinions from personal experience or research.

So at the same time, am I safe to assume you use truly objective resources for your research? Also, you had asked me earlier if I've read the ACA, I forgot to ask if you have as well. No real point, just honestly curious.

Nobody answers because the question has no bearing on the convo. one person getting healthcare over another, full time vs part time. Marriwd getting h care from spouse. Part time job because that's all they want or need. it doesn't matter because lots of folks who don't want or need company care are goin to have their hours slashed.

we are talking about expenses of the company being inflated and the effects to the work force ans other business related items

From the CNN article:

According to a Democratic aide on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, only three of the eight GOP members of the committee attended the two hour briefing that ran from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET. By contrast, seven of the nine Democratic members were there.

Im sorry, I thought we were talking specifically about the effects of the ACA on businesses since the convo started with Papa Johns.
Asking what people want globally or asking about the specific effects of something are two completely different convos.

Wait, you think The Daily Show is a news show? Maybe that's the problem. It mostly just takes shots at how bad some of the news outlets can be, has humorous commentary, and makes fun of everyone (mostly those on the right, but some on the left as well). The real "news" part is the interviews, which is where Stewart actually is serious and does a better job of interviewing than most main stream types.
