I absolutely loved Rosetti in the hat.

Also loved everyone abandoning Nucky. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out now.

I'm hoping Richard can get away from Gillian ASAP... tired of seeing him held down by her. Maybe he will end up joining with Nucky...

I agree TWC. Richard is too chill a character to keep getting treated terribly. But its cool seeing him beginning to accept who is and getting more comfortable around people.

I could see him helping Nucky, but simultaneously I couldn't. I think he will end up in Chicago with Capone since Jimmy and Capone were friends.

Also, Tommy and Richard's relationship is awesome. Richard knowing exactly what Tommy drew was awesome.

I could easily see him taking Tommy and the girl out of "the life" entirely.

it would be a nice finish to his story arc...the one dude that was hired on for his killing skills is the only one to get away successfully and happily with a family.

I'd been a couple episodes behind, but caught up with them and watched last night's. Here are my thoughts...

Spoiler:
I'm kind of sad to see Owen go, but you knew he and/or Margaret had to die once they committed to running away together. There was no way they were going to live happily ever after.

How does Nucky get out of the corner he's been boxed into?

Spoiler:
I bet he gets help from Torrio and the Chicago crew in exchange for a cut of his operations or those formerly belonging to Remus. That would make for a better connection between the Chicago and AC plots, which have been more or less unconnected this season, and it would also give the show excuse to pay more attention to the rise of Capone, which has to be coming.

Also, Richard Harrow has to take Owen's spot as top bodyguard/hitman, right?

I enjoyed it in that it was one fail after another for her plans.

It's high time to see Capone and Harrow come into their own. It would be nice for Richard if he got to settle down, but that would make for bad tv.

response and some other thoughts:
Spoiler:
Tommy saying "I wanna go home" pretty much leads to this. His girl(friend?) is upset at home. They both look to him as their escape. Is Jimmy and Angela's house still available? I can't recall. But, it might not be good to go back there because of what happened to Angela. Also, how long until Nucky finds out Jillian gave Rosetti information which lead directly to Billie Kent's death? and how do the guys that were with Nucky at that time (Rothstein, Luciano I think?) not have the issues Nucky has with regards to a concussion?

I haven't watched the most recent episode, though

Hmm. Good question re: the others... I didn't really think about it at the time, but you're right... seems like the others should have also been affected more.

Just finished the most recent episode.

...and I'm hooked again. I hope they show the distillery in West Overton. It's literally 2 miles from my house.

Spoiler:
Anyone think Rothstein will be ticked at Luciano for going above him and making a deal even when he told him not to? Now Maseria should have them on his side obviously. I almost hope Harrow doesn't go with Nucky; everyone Nucky gets dies.

edit: more thoughts

Spoiler:
Gyp's days are numbered. he killed his right hand man's cousin (?) over a stupid comment. Nucky has no one right now. He even turned his back on Chalky, who i'm sure is ticked over the club thing. Margaret is going to leave him most likely. The only ones he has left are Eli and Mickey Doyle. Maybe if the Chicago connection wants some of his West Overton liquor they can strike up a deal.

I didnt realize there's only 2 episodes left this season.

....trouble with using historical figures is you can't get crazy and deviate too far from what actually happened. You know Masseria wasn't going to die, and we know what becomes of Rothstein, Lansky, Capone, Luciano and Torrio.Thankfully, we have the other characters like Nucky (this fictionalized version), Rosetti, Harrow, Chalky to give the show a little pop from time to time.

Yeah, last night was unreal. I've loathed the Margaret Schroeder character for a while now, and after having an episode without her in it at all, I hate her even more.

Just finished yesterday's episode and I reflect the sentiment. I can't wait til next week. I got chills when capone walked up. Should be a good one, I might have to pull some strings and watch it live.
