I really enjoy Black Ops II MP. I'm only level 19 but I find it awesome.

i think nintendo is still holding on to the misplaced idea that using your console as an internet browsing device is an afterthought...even though they have the perfect opportunity to have a decently-priced tablet-type remote.

Is the browser still Opera based? I remember trying to use the forums here with the original Wii browser. All kinds of issues with the ads, never mind trying to hunt and click to write.

Reinstalled COD 1 for the boy to play the single player. Good stuff. Weird screen resolutions for a 2003 game, like 2064x1600.

Nintendo also expects people to have/purchase an external hard drive if anyone wants to have an extensive game library as well as dlc.

They never mention this up front of course.

Is that why you are looking to buy one, canaan? What's the storage capacity on the unit as it comes and how much do those games normally use?

yes. i have the basic model which comes with 8gb, but makes you install a 4.7gb update...total scumbag move. if i wanted to install nintendoland on my wiiU, i would need an extra HDD.

Making some progress on item collection in Lego LOTR... I'm making a dent, but there's just a boatload of stuff to find. There aren't really any good faqs available yet, so I'm mostly flying solo right now. I'm just trying to get what I can and not getting too caught up if I can't figure out how to get a brick right away.

I made it out of the living room and down the hallway before it crapped out, so to speak. If your business is nearby, you should be fine

Canaan, how much did you pay for that? It's expensive on Amazon, even. Now having to add a HDD... it is total scumbag move.

Also, what's this guy talking about? Average score seems to be just 3.5 stars, but this guy's going nuts for some reason.

A New Era in Gameplay Experience, November 18, 2012
By Jeff - See all my reviews= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Nintendo Wii U Console 8GB Basic Set - White (Video Game)

It may not be that far ahead of the PS3 and XBOX 360 in graphics and power, but Nintendo has accomplished one thing that neither Sony or Microsoft have, real innovation in gameplay experience. Being able to pack power into a console only does so much and I will admit that it allowed the 360 and PS3 to play games that the Wii couldn't, but at the same time the new Wii U system and controller opens up new infinite number of possibilities that the Xbox and Playstation systems will not be able to compete with for years. The Kinect and PS Move were not released until years after their respective companies realized that Nintendo has brought in a new era of gameplay and with the Wii U they have done it again.

i paid 299$ for the basic model. i havent run into a situation where i cant progress or play a game because of the HDD situation, but i dont want that situation to arise when im getting ready to play or in progress.

i dont know what that dude is saying and its very vague about whats so great about it.

All fine and good until 3rd party developers stop making games for it because its a pain in the ass. Hell, Bethesda can't even write code for ps3 apparently.

You have to install these games, right? So the remainder would get filled up pretty quickly.

if your goal is to install games to the HDD, then you should know better than to buy an 8gb console. that being said, even the 32gb console for a "deluxe" version of a system is just crap.

Yeah, but in that case, I'll say the whole thing seems overpriced.

I watched ZombieU on youtube. I wasn't impressed. Looked like a game about 10 years behind something like Dead Island on ps3.

I'd like to see how some of the system's most advanced games look.
