I've always loved band names like Aztec Camera. Prefab Sprout is another favorite. For some reason, to me, they don't sound contrived, but when a band today tries a strange name, I yell, "poseurs, the lot o' ya!"

I used to hear this song all the time.

When I was in grade school, SNL would go off the air, the national anthem would play, and then they'd play this song. Sometimes it seemed like they'd play this song all night.

I know, right? I always wondered why they played the national anthem. It sounded funereal to me.

Then I'd change the channel to TBS "Night Tracks." Music videos all night!
