We didn't watch it, but looked up the list online. I had heard of exactly one song: "Beautiful Day" by U2. And I have never heard more than a minute or so of that song. Mostly I think I heard it at the supermarket.

Do they even have radios in Kansas?

Speaking from the Dads perspective, it's scary to re-establish ties with a child once a certain period of time has passed. How do you say "I'm sorry" ? How could you EVER make it up to your child? (regardless of the reason you might have had for not being there.) Even worse, imagine if you felt, (rightly or wrongly) that the mother played a large part in that separation, what do you do, tell the child " your mother was a *****?"
I know I'm biased, speaking only from my own experience, but if your Dad is willing, give it a shot.

Without question. I've found this to be true for egg salad and grilled cheese, especially.
Also, a clean car (exterior and interior, but def. exterior) runs much better and rides much smoother on long trips.

True and triangles make them even better!
