Light duty for me later today: I'm making the white wine gravy.

Other than that, my assignment is to eat.

I got assigned "Don't Fall Down the Steps" duty. Other than that, all I have to do is eat as well. :fist:

It should be illegal for any stores to be open on Holidays like Thanksgiving, Easter, Christmas, etc. Or at least illegal to be open regular hours.

Happy Thanksgiving LGP!

I agree entirely. One thing I have always loved about Thanksgiving was how uncommercial it was, but that is rapidly changing.

I don't know if any of you experince any of this.
My job is to de-stress my wife who used to get upset if our married kids &grandkids don't show up at a given time. She's finally relaxed some the last few years. Our 2 married sons and married daughter , spouses and kids end up going to both sets of parents. I've finally convinced my wife to set a time to eat and they can eat whenever they show up.

The other trauma event involves "eating at the kids table". When they're all here everyone won't fit at the dining room table even if it's extended. So we always have a second "kids"table in the living room. Once they're 12 or 13 they get really irked abd rebel at being relegated to the kids table.

wow just got a call from my mom. Last night my aunt was cooking dinner, the kitchen got really hot so she stepped out on the deck to cool down. Slipped, fell, and hit her head (she's fine on that) but broke her wrist in 4 places. So last minute change of venue, they had to run up and get what food was cooked and relocate to my mom's house. She said the doctor is to call my aunt today and discuss if they are going to do surgery on her face, (I guess she got cut pretty bad) Thankfully other than a broken wrist and some pain she's okay. Holiday's are usually pretty uneventful with my family :?
