He's leader among NHL'ers but not overall. Alex Radulov is ahead of him by 4 points.
http://en.khl.ru/stat/leaders/222/Geno's got the lead in assists though.

Sergei Mozyakin has the lead now, Malkin is 6 points back of him with 33 through 24 games.
Ovechkin only at 21 points through 19 games. He fell off in the KHL too.

Last wednesday I started to miss the action. Thanksgiving is when hockey season starts to percolate.
I miss Gene, et al. But, life is moving on and with a few more coins in my pockets.

i think the age is the biggest factor in that decision at this point: he's 31.
other than that, i'm thinking his game only translates well in international hockey and wouldn't do so well in the NHL.

The biggest factor is, he never wanted to come over really. He's a Blue Jackets pick...they tried to bring him over and he wouldn't...super-skilled player, good friends with Zherdev in fact. I don't think Sarcastic was all that serious anyhow...some of these fixtures at the top of the KHL will not come over - Morozov, Moyzakin, Zinovjev, Ki.Koltsov, etc.
