Slapping you around gets boring. You need time to make 600 new predictions in the hopes that one of them is correct so you can disclaim the other 599. It would work better if you didn't put the other 599 on the internet where people can see them and ask about them, but hey, not everyone chooses the smartest path.

Cincy was so impressed with the additions of Tulane and ECU that they're going full Mizzou.

Cinci is a distant third behind UConn and Lville.

Also, wasn't Navy supposed to be the third choice with UConn and Lville? I thought I saw them thrown out there as the other choice to get back into the MD footprint.

I don't think Navy will do the whole conference thing.

I believe they were close to joining the BE last year, but I could be remembering incorrectly.

They're slated to join the rotting corpse of the Big East in 2015 in football.

Perhaps, but in the long run, I just see Navy doing whatever Army does. The athletics part of each school is inconsequential to their main mission. I don't feel like they'd trifle themselves with this whole conference nonsense...

But I could also be completely wrong. As seen here:

I said that as soon as I realized he was banned. He was a little pompous sometimes but he was a quality guy that added to conversation...

I don't care a ton for UL but they went to the Final 4 in hoops, their football team is on the rise, and they've got money in their athletic program. They aren't bleeding money like MD and aren't looking at having their credit rating downgraded like Rutgers. The only upside to bringing on UConn would be that it would annoy BC's admin. There aren't any decent southern schools to add, no matter how much ODU whines and cries about how they're a burgeoning power.

The No. 1 reason why I liked the Pitt to ACC move was the fact that Pitt was joining a conference with "real" high-ranked and/or flagship universities. That is, a group of institutions with a decent lobbying power and ample opportunities to cooperate. The fact that Pitt was just the middle-of-the-road university in relative comparison was definitely a plus. I feel that adding anything but UConn will dilute the good "brand" ACC has/had for me... :(

I was assured that Louisville was certainly going to the Big 12. What happened?

The ACC has traded out crabcakes for Maker's Mark. I'll take it, though I do like crabcakes.

Blame Debbie Yow, Kevin Anderson, and Kevin Plank. They're the ones responsible for MD being broke and creating a hole in the ACC.
