Have mustaches supplanted beating and covering up your women as the new standard for "manliness"?

Is it really more absurd than a lip augmentation or a boob job?

Who said I didn't consider those elective surgeries absurd?

Given that lips and boobs can't be grown by ones body, it seems a little more absurd. The fact that hair grows on its own (usually, unless baldness is the issue) makes this a little more wacky.

I think most elective/cosmetic surgeries are unnecessary and absurd, this one kinda seems sillier than others though.

I wish I could grow a professional beard and not just a ridiculously disgusting underbeard, so this does not seem entirely absurd to me.

Oh, I know. It was sort of a rhetorical question.

I'm not unhappy that I don't have to shave every day.

If I could I would get a surgery where I have a permanent 5 o' clock shadow. Thats the look I normally roll with. I hate being clean shaven and look much better ( I think ) with a little stubble. If I have somewhere to be I'll actually plan to shave 1-2 days in advance so I have that stubble. My friend gets angry because he thinks I always have the perfect 5' oclock shadow every time he sees me

"Both surgeons use a technique -- follicular unit extraction -- in which groups of hairs are taken from areas of dense hair growth to be implanted in the mustache area."
I want to know what areas and I really hope they don't mean the pubes.
