It was hilarious though. That show overall was great.

Anyone watching American Horror Asylum?

Some of it seems good, but some of it just goes over the top. I loved the first episode, but the last few have been just ok.

Can't argue with that. Was watching last night and the realization hit me that they went that hard in the 1st episode. Partially because of content, and partially because there really shouldn't be anything that could top that (though Chappelle did a pretty good job of it).

Spoiler:
The whole asylum thing makes it extra creepy IMO. Just some of the stuff there is great. I'll be honest, I haven't seen the last two episodes yet, they are on my DVR. So maybe it will clear some things up. But just he aliens and the beasts out in the woods, that goes over the top for me, but everything else regarding the show I love.

Saw this tweet from Aaron Paul last night. Even know its months away, still got me pretty fired up for the final season of Breaking Bad.

I just finished reading the first episode of the final season of Breaking Bad and words can not express what I just experienced. Holy ****.

I really enjoyed Treme this season. I don't know what it is about this show, as it really doesn't have an arc or whatever. I really enjoy most of the characters, and the music of course. Filming the last season is already underway.

Newer favorite shows I look forward to each week:

- Two Broke Girls
- New Girl
- Go On

Old shows I used to love but just watch because I know the end is near, but they suck:

- The Office
- HIMYM

Yeah, liking jazz or New Orleans style jazz is a must. There are plenty of local musicians that make cameos, which is interesting (even if I don't know who they are). Steve Earle had a role on the show, they even had Fats Domino on an episode this season.

I agree with you - it isn't an interesting show in the traditional sense (like "What's going to happen next?" kind of excitement like most shows), but the characters and overall story has me back each week.

My favorite story arcs are the police corruption theme with David Morse's Homicide Lieutenant and Melissa Leo's civil rights attorney. Coming from a food & beverage background, the restaurant scenes are written and acted well - some are even written by Anthony Bourdain. There was even an Emeril Legasse cameo this season.

That being said, I wasn't upset that it won't be going on past next season. My affection for this show is so weird. My guess is that if it was on another network, I wouldn't bother with it. I'm an HBO whore.

You can tell that they are out of ideas, but need to kill time before they get into the actual meeting of the mother story line, which probably won't happen until February or March.

So we probably have another 2 or 3 months of just filler type of episodes until they get into what people actually are waiting for (at least long time fans who want to know).
