I see what you're saying and I even agree with it, but I'm sure there's a side of it that involves rescheduling the game, the flights, the people working on a non-scheduled day, the lost revenue from a moved game, etc.
Again, I can't emphasize enough that I'd have no problem with them canceling the game, but I'm sure a bunch of those factors will be cited as to why they can't or won't.

Where is there anything suggesting he was suffering from any mental illness? He escalated an argument to murder then killed himself instead of going to prison.

Just read it was Belcher's mom. Not the victim. There was initial confusion because she kept telling the 911 operator it was her daughter.
