Tino is terrible. When crunch time happens he is no where to be found. He shrinks in the spotlight and the team suffers for it. He is not a leader and I hate that it feels like he has been the starting QB forever.

He got hurt last year and this year I think. So he's been a little banged up. When Jamison was hurt, Huggins stepped in and carried the ball 41 times a few weeks ago. So he can play, it's just that Jamison has been really good in his own right. Huggins is about as good of a recruit as we've captured and he seems to be doing and saying all the right things and just waiting for his opportunity. Which should come soon enough. If we had two RBs that could carry it 30 times each, we wouldn't leave games up to our brutal QB (the venerable Super Nova) - tongue-in-cheek, but I'm still sore after yesterday's brutal loss.

So, Huggins is firmly the #2, but there's no reason to take the ball out of Jamison's hands...he gets like 25-30 touches per game and gets like 5 yards per touch. I have to imagine that ranks highly in the Big East, just at face value. So it's not like Huggins is the #2 to some schlub...Huggins is a year younger, so he'll get his time. Also, with RBs running back depth, players seem to just disappear and re-appear now and again. Mason Robinson, for instance, I recall being a running back for us a few years ago...then he became a defensive back after losing his RB spot and now he seems to mostly return punts...Kordell Young is another one that seemed to show a couple flashes and then poof...gone. So who knows...maybe one of them is our starting QB next year...

I kind of figured it had to be an injury of some sorts with Huggins, but I wasn't sure. And I thought the same when I looked at Jamison's numbers.

It's a nice problem for any team to have, really.

Maybe. But the compass bowl isnt the insight.com bowl. the insight.com bowl was in airzona (you know, a nice location). the compass bowl is in birmingham.

Don't mind playing Ole Miss. But 3 years in a row. Sucks.

But it's our own fault though. Don't crap the bed against YSU, Uconn, ND and Cuse and we are 10-2 going to a better bowl.

I don't think they played way above their heads in either of those games. VT and Rutgers IMO were both mediocre this year. RU had a weak ass schedule and lost to the only good teams they played.

10-2 is a little out of the realm of possiblity for Pitt football. They could play a full schedule of Gardner Webs' and finish no better than 8-4. They just aren't good.

Pitt just plays up and down to their competition. I would never be shocked if they beat the #1 team in the nation, but I'm also never shocked if/when we lose to a D1AA team.

9-3, won the bowl game against UNC. That season is best (worst?) remembered for the glorious choke job against Cincinnatti
