Are You Ready for Some Football - Steelers/Ravens 2012 v2.0

Postby blackjack68 on Sun Dec 02, 2012 9:57 am

I'll be honest. I don't know if I'm ready for some football.

I haven't been less excited for a game in a while.

We're really going to need the defense to win this game. I'm talking two scores from them and/or turnovers inside the Ravens 20.

I'm usually the optimistic homer/yinzer, but after what I saw last week...

In any case, we get AB back, we get Troy back.

If Charlie can get some quick passes off to AB and Troy can pick off Flacco, we stay in this game.

Here We Go Steelers!

This is going to be another frustrating game where our defense plays shutdown football, gets no help from the offense, and we lose like 17-10. Phil Dimms will pontificate about how much poise FLACCO has against a tough D.

I'm going for 20-18 steelers just cause I'm optimistic. Last second field goal steals the game. At least one defensive TD today by either team.

The Browns have a better D than that Ravens, Batch won't be as rusty, and getting AB will be huge...As usual though, I'm just worried about this offensive line. It could get ugly in there. I'd guess that the ravens will just blitz on every down.

This is the superbowl for the Ravens and their fans - our playoff game though will be against the Bengals in a few weeks, for the last wild card spot.

I would actually be somewhat optimistic if our line was:
Starks. Colon. Pouncey. Decastro. Gilbert.

that's where we are going to lose it, I think our wide outs will run pretty open today and even with a jelly armed QB we have a chance to make plays, the ravens will be putting 9 in the box.

But with that crap we are proposing as a line it could get very ugly and very quickly.

Hopefully Colon can start, and we can run left and put Heath in to help the right side on pass plays. Still, it's not ideal, to say the least.

10-0 steelers. somehow, when every single thing goes against the steelers, they tend to pull it out. or at least i'm hoping. the defense is our only prayer, i think they'll shut Rice down again.

OMG. I'd love this. I really would.

Add Flacco being sacked 5 times.
