the facepalm was more about the guy ripping the OP for reporting a decision made by the team.

I know. I was building off your comment, not arguing.

Seeing his stuff still hanging in the locker symbolically after the Chiefs game....hmm. That really just rubs me the wrong way. He shot the defenseless mother of his child nine times. Nine times. He doesn't deserve a shred of recognition, symbolic or otherwise.

Yeah...it seems like an afterthought to many that HE MURDERED someone.

Well, I hope the Chiefs didn't dedicate their win to him.

They don't know him as a killer, they know him as a friend and they're all still in as much shock as you'd be if it were your brother or best friend.

Cut everyone involved a break for gods sake.

If my friend shot the defenseless mother of his child nine times in cold, cruel blood, and then forced several others to endure watching him blow his brains out causing them permanent emotional trauma, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't recognize him at all. I wouldn't bash him, but I wouldn't even mention his locker, his jersey, etc.

Personally, I'd feel horrible about whatever 'demons' posessed a man who, by all accounts, worked with children and charities in the community, to do something so radical. I'd mourn everything about the event. Including the man who felt compelled to commit it.

There's a big difference between mourning and celebrating the event itself.

But that's just me.

Celebrate the event? I don't even...

Whatever. I hope everyone involved finds peace one way or the other.

The guy deserves no kind words or sentimentality.

If it was my friend, even my best friend, I wouldn't put a positive spin on his life in front of a camera today. Its actually pretty shameful to do that, if anyone did.

Bob Costas just borrowed from Whitlock's article to immediately turn Belcher's murder-suicide into a gun control issue. Absolutely and positively disgusting. Wow wow wow

Unreal. I think turning these events into gun control arguments is terrible. On national tv, to boot. Go away, Bob.

i'm pretty moderate when it comes to guns but if you wanna get rid of guns, then you'll just have to get rid of knives too
