Finally beat this guy on the third try. The first 2 times, I had my worst weeks of the season and got blown out both times.

The winner of my matchup next week makes the playoffs and the loser goes home. Same record, separated by less than a point. I'm not convinced that either of us has a shot at it, but obviously I'd rather make the playoffs than not.

Sigh. 1st, 1st, and 1st loser in my three leagues. The biggest money league and league I care about most AND league I invested heavily in this season by trading a 1st round pick next year among other things is the one that I missed in...

Very sad. My first fantasy football experience has ended with me not making the playoffs. I was just getting into it, learning who to start/bench etc. and it's all over. Rats.

Sigh, After a late season surge, and Eli only t hrowing 11 times in the 2nd half last night, I lost by 8 and other guy wins by 3, so I rack up last place and the 1st overall pick next year.

Spoiler:
so who should I go for? 8-)

lol, the last place team for the year before gets the first draft pick in the next season? That sounds like a stupid rule to me, if only because you aren't carrying your same crappy team over the following year.

(Obviously this doesn't apply to leagues where you actually draft your new players from the forthcoming draft class, and continue your franchise)

If I'm doing 1st round ranks right now. The league I play in counts pass TDs for 6 so I'm going

1.Rodgers
2.Peterson
3.Foster
4.Brees
5.Brady
6.Rice
7.Griffin
8.Richardson
9.Megatron
10.Martin
11.A. J. Green
12.Lynch

Although with how thin RB is I could certainly see an argument of drafting them earlier than the QBs I have listed.

I agree. I had one of the best teams last season and by the time I got to pick, everyone I wanted was gone, while all I had from my good team was a 4th rd or later draft pick keeper.

And thanks Pavel, but I was more kind of joking since its so early. I've never so much had a pick before 6 or 7 in all my years in leagues.

I feel like if I was in that spot I MIGHT, just might gamble on Griffin.

That thougth seriously crossed my mind last night. In my league it was rare that he put up less than 25 points, and even 25 points was usually low for him. But then theres always the Cam Newton story.

I know AP had a great year, but his injury history and age still scare me at #2 overall It's a high risk / high reward situation for sure.

He doesn't really have much of an injury history, actually.

I think this year has actually moved QBs down on draft boards for next year. There hasn't been that much separation between the QBs to justify such an early pick where running backs have been dreadful outside of a handful or so.

My order for RBs would be Peterson/Foster, Foster/Peterson, Rice, Richardson/Martin, Martin/Richardson, McCoy, Lynch

Completely disagree on McCoy being ranked that high. I really think he is going to end up sharing a fair deal of carries next year.

That'd be silly. I guess we'll have to see who the coach of the team is.

I'm saying that assuming Bryce Brown continues to play like crazy and keep the fumbles in check. But McCoy's stats this season kind of speak the truth about the team he is on. They don't have a legitimate passing attack at all, and Nick Foles or whatever QB they use next year probably won't do the job.

The line sucks too, but McCoy did not get enough touches this year as it was. Ben Tate has a high pedigree and ran extremely effectively last year when Foster was out. Different situations, but still, McCoy is good enough and should have a high enough ceiling that I'd be shocked if he falls past the Martin/Richardson spots. Lynch (low ceiling), CJ2k (inconsistency), Charles (inconsistency, awful team/rookie QB), Ridley (Belichek), Morris (Shanahan). The only other back I can see ahead of McCoy is maybe Spiller -- similar upside, but some time-share questions as well.
