OMG, devastated. I've been collecting his stuff on vinyl for years. Today is our annual Christmas shopping day in town, might have to run over to Jerry's in Squirrel Hill and see if they have anything.

He performed right up to the end, hope I get to do things I love for as long.

Take Five was not written by Brubeck, btw.

True, it was written by Paul Desmond, who played alto sax in the DBQ.

I know. It was written by his sax player, as mentioned above. But written obviously with Brubeck in mind.

So my weak attempt to impress was an epic fail. :(

Guess I better take five myself.

So you all realize that Brubeck didn't write Take 5? I don't think that has been brought up yet.

May I please say that I can't stand Take 5. It kinda makes me want to vomit. The first notes from the saxophone alone give me the gag reflex and it only grows from there.

RIP, otherwise. Great musician.

See if you can figure out the time signature of this piece. No peeking.

That is a tricky time signature.....I didn't get it right.

Spoiler:
I was thinking 13/8.

You can tap your finger on the desk and count. It's tricky but once you get it, it's... duh, I knew that!

I like that tune, but that is one of the creepiest videos I ever saw in my life. May have nightmares.
