There are 124 major-college football programs. The 62nd-longest tenured head coach for now is Florida's Will Muschamp (hired Dec. 11, 2010)

I think he will have a coronary before too long. Very intense coach.

Hustle Belt ‏@HustleBelt
The UMass faculty wants to discuss a proposal to move football back to FCS. To be a fly on the wall of that meeting.

Won't amount to anything, but still amusing that there's buyer's remorse from at least part of the school after just one year.

The Big 5 conferences will get $91m/year in the new playoff format. The remaining 5 conferences? $17m/year.

hypothetical: if this group of catholic schools group to form a religious conference, where they base their decisions purely on the tenets of the catholic church, and they invite notre dame to the conference. would it make notre dame look bad when they declined the invite, thus proving money is more important to them than religious expansion?

Yeah, pretty sure most people would take Notre Dame winning the national championship over guaranty access to heaven. Catholic is just a brand.

Maybe it would be easiest to set up a Yahoo pick-em group.

Also, looking at the lines, Oklahoma State is a 16.5 point favorite over Purdue, which seems to be the biggest spread right now. FSU is at 13.5 over NIU, but I don't trust that FSU team one bit.

With only like 30-40 people, I wonder if it would just be best to pick straight with the vegas lines. It's one of those where you rank your winners 1-28 in confidence, (28 most confident), then highest points win.

Dude will have to add Dennis Dodd to his list of ACC apologists.

http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootbal ... id-for-now

Swarbrick was the second source in two days to say that the ACC will eventually be making more money per school than the Big 12. That would seemingly put to rest speculation that Florida State is trying to get out. Both of those conferences are behind the Big Ten, largely considered to be No. 1 in conference revenue at the moment.

“The point is, the ACC is not hurting,” the source said. “They [FSU] would have to take a pay cut if they went somewhere else.”
