How is this awesome? This is the exact opposite of awesome. We got whooped on the scoreboard and it was one of the most disgraceful performances ever put on by an NHL franchise (NYI). I still can't belive Talbot saw that cheap shot coming. That would have been UGLY.

3 things I remember from that: 1. Adams is the ultimate team guy IMO. 2. Godard sacrificed a lot for the Penguins. 3. Talbot was EXTREMELY lucky he saw the glove of the Islander.

This is the entire reason I continue to hope he becomes a successful hockey player.

My blood still boils watching this. Trevor Gillies is the only "pro" athlete that I ever hope breaks his neck while playing.

The tangradi episode and the Talbot "lucky miss" are very solid reasons, given the pathetic suspensions, that hockey hits walls in popularity and things like national tv ratings. Its also why the league will never turn a corner until it gets that mindset out. I am not saying it needs to go all NFL an change every stinking rule for offense. Hockeys workmanship is its appeal. But there is a limit that they dont seem to understand. See also, Head Shots.

Even going back to the all out brawls days - I've never seen a game end with 3 subs on the bench. Crazy.

If this is awesome in your eyes, I'd hate to see what you deem bad.

Yeah, great video, right?
I'm wondering if the OP was the one who suggested to the Isles to have this video replayed several weeks after it happened.

Same. I think I might be the only fan in history that when flipping through games on Center Ice will actually change the channel during a fight. Not because I don't like it or I'm scared or that it doesn't belong in the game...I'm just not that entertained by fighting...I'd rather watch the game...
