As someone who once tipped a Jeep Wrangler up on its side after spinning in heavy snow and a slushy road, please keep in mind that four-wheel drive helps you go, not stop. I learned that lesson well. I was lucky that I ended up tipping over onto a fairly fluffy snow bank, and the end result was not only no injuries to me, the Jeep itself didn’t even get a scratch. Me and the tow-truck driver just tipped it back onto its wheels. One of the tires was knocked off of the rim by the impact, but we able to get it re-mounted.
Another lesson learned that day: It’s not easy to open a car door “up,” even a fairly light door like the ones on a Wrangler.
