As someone who once tipped a Jeep Wrangler up on its side after spinning in heavy snow and a slushy road, please keep in mind that four-wheel drive helps you go, not stop. I learned that lesson well. I was lucky that I ended up tipping over onto a fairly fluffy snow bank, and the end result was not only no injuries to me, the Jeep itself didn’t even get a scratch. Me and the tow-truck driver just tipped it back onto its wheels. One of the tires was knocked off of the rim by the impact, but we able to get it re-mounted.

Another lesson learned that day: It’s not easy to open a car door “up,” even a fairly light door like the ones on a Wrangler.

I took my puppy outside to do his business... he got very confused because there's snow on the ground. he then pounced on it causing a ball of snow to form which he pounced on to make more and he just kept pouncing around. It was quite funny.

My dog can't stand to get his paws wet. Taking him outside to do his business is defiently a chore.

It's really windy here. I've been in and out of sleep since 2am because the roof keeps creaking.

Well given how the weather is shaping up, I guess going to Canada next week to see the Otters play the Barrie Colts is out of the question.

Looks like I'm going to have to postpone my drive home until tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully the roads will be fine by 2PM or so.

Apparently thanks to a last minute storm, I'll be guaranteed a white Christmas in Poughkeepsie with a few inches of snow Christmas Eve night. The details are on Accuweather...wooooo. Covers parts of PA too

So, I am a purchasing manager for a company that has about 100 of manufacturing facilities across the country. One of the local ones that I became manager for just a week ago called me this morning and said: "Hey, we just realized, we fired the people who used to plow our parking lots and never set anybody else up to do it!"

Yeah, because having a storm that will hit us with 6-8" of snow is usually the best time to get a good price on snow plowing.
